Cani'Company: Who Are We?
Émilie: I grew up in Savoie, where I moved at the age of 5 after leaving Seine-et-Marne. Since I was little, I always dreamed of having a dog, and this dream became reality at 24, when I adopted Barry, a 2 and a half year old Beauceron cross, through an association.
Valentin: I am originally from Savoie, a region that I have never left because I love it! I have always loved dogs, but it was when I met Émilie and Barry that I really discovered the joy of having one. Together, we decided to expand our family with Jude, a young Malinois that we adopted from a breeder.
How was Cani'Company born?
It was Jude's arrival that sparked the idea for Cani'Company. While looking for playmates for her near us, we quickly realized that it wasn't that simple: many dogs were reactive or too big, which scared Jude. We tried several walking groups and apps, but nothing really matched what we were looking for.
So, we decided to create Cani'Company to solve these problems. Our philosophy is simple: "If you can't find what you're looking for, create it yourself!" We also had this desire to undertake and offer something new for dog owners. And that's how Cani'Company was born!
But what exactly is Cani'Company?
Cani'Company is a mobile app for dog owners, available on iPhone and Android. No matter how many dogs you have, you can create a personalized profile for each one, by filling in their character and behavior to find them playmates who are a perfect match!
The app offers plenty of features to enrich your daily life with your dog. An interactive map allows you to discover and save dog-friendly places like restaurants, beaches, castles, and even hikes. You can also report potential dangers, like herding dogs, cyanobacteria in the water, or steep cliffs, to make your outings safer.
There’s also the Swipe feature, inspired by dating sites. Scroll through dog profiles: swipe right to arrange a meeting, or left if the profile doesn’t match. Cool, right?
You can also join groups to discuss your passions, organize group outings, or take advantage of special offers thanks to the Remises group, where you will find products at reduced prices to spoil your companion.
And if your dog ever runs away, the mutual aid function allows you to report its disappearance. An alert will be sent to nearby users, who will be able to help you find it quickly thanks to notifications and group discussions.
Cani'Company still has plenty of features to discover, and the app will continue to evolve to adapt to the needs of dog owners.
